From May 3-5 our troop is having the COPE campout and it will include lots of fun activities and stations such as rock climbing and rappelling. There will also be a fire Saturday night. This is a great opportunity to have some fun while also completing some requirements! This will be a great camp out so be sure to sign up fast. On December 15th till 17^th we will be holding the cold weather prep at quail hill. We plan on having many fun activates which will include a cooking competition. Since it will be a colder campout please look over the cold weather camping information in the helpful camping file in the website. It’s time for Annual Registration.  All scouts MUST register to continue in Troop 40 in 2024.  All documents can be found on the website under Files: Troop 40 Registration 2023-2024.  Start with “Troop 40 Reg forms 2023-2024” and follow all directions on page 1.  Forms will be collected at troop meetings beginning with the Oct 2 Court of Honor.  Incomplete packets will not be accepted.  Review the instructions carefully to be sure you have everything you need and the correct number of copies.

Troop 40 will be going to the Sourland Mountain Preserve for a 5 mile day hike.
Enjoy the outdoors, get requirement 3b for second class done, and learn to use a lightweight camping stove!
